Most Inspiring Cafe of The World
Once
a former warehouse and pie factory in the early 1900s, The Grounds has got to
be one of the most beautiful and eclectic coffee shops I’ve ever seen. It is located at Alexandria, Australia.
With a coffee ‘research and testing facility’ alongside the
café, it’s clear they’re not serving up just any old cuppa– beans are sourced
all the way from Brazil, Columbia, Ethiopia, India and Uganda. The café terrace
opens onto luscious garden of heirloom vegetables and fragrant herbs with a
full time horticulturalist growing seasonal produce for the wholesome and
rustic menu.
The Grounds believes in sharing their knowledge and
expertise in everything from coffee to their sustainable gardening methods and
fresh produce. To pass on their passion in these areas, they have designed a
series of short courses and learning sessions designed for people of all ages
who are keen to learn more about the journey of coffee and food from seed to
plate (or cup).
Roasting sessions with Jack Hanna are available on request.
They have Beginner, Advanced and Roasting classes with limited places
available.
Workshops in The Grounds Garden with Erin Martin will be
available soon.
